Planning began in early 2021 for the school furniture fit-out of the new two storey block at Browns Bay School. Having successfully fitted out numerous classrooms at the school for the past six years, Deputy Principal Jo Hewitt had confidence that EF and Account Manager Graham Lyons could deliver the support and quality furniture they required for a larger scale project.
Planning Process
The new two storey block was designed to include a range of new classrooms and breakout spaces with the overall plan to keep the rooms bright, fresh and open.
Over the next few months Graham met with Jo and the team leaders of Years 5 and 6 who would be occupying the new building to discuss their specific school furniture requirements. Initially the school planned to move the majority of the exisiting furniture from their temporary classrooms and fill in the gaps with a few new items. Upon further consultation however, it became clear that the scope of the fit-out would need to be considerably increased, with a range of new tables and seating options required.
After several more consultation meetings with Jo and the team leaders, a wishlist of new items was developed. Graham's extensive product knowledge and experience completing large scale fit-outs helped the school significantly to narrow down furniture configurations, dimensions and colour combinations that would work best in each space. Graham then arranged for a detailed quote and drawings of the various spaces to be developed so the school could visualise how the furniture would look in the new rooms. The quote was reviewed and accepted and the EF factory got to work manufacturing the large order in time for an August delivery.

Delivery and Installation of School Furniture
Delivery and installation of the school's new furniture came together in August 2022. Graham was of course on site on delivery day to confirm that everything arrived as ordered and to assist with moving furniture and setting up the spaces. Jo and the Year 5 and 6 team leaders were very happy with the final result and were thoroughly looking forward to enjoying their new environment.
